Anushka was born in Ayodhya but raised in Bangalore. She pursued her graduation at Mount Caramel College. She started modeling in 2007. She ventured into acting in 2008. Her first film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi was a big success. Later, she appeared in the 2010 film Badmaash Company. In the same year, she acted in another film called Band Baaja Baarat. This film was a big blockbuster at the box office. After that, she acted in prominent films for the next three years but failed to get success. Finally, she scored another hit with 2014 film PK. In 2015, she turned as a producer with NH10. She also got a wide appreciation for her acting in this film.
