After Baagamathie, which released in 2018 January, Anushka Shetty hasn't had any releases so far. Though she played a cameo role in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, she has had no full fledged films in her kitty. Currently, she is awaiting the release of her upcoming film Nishabdham. Anushka Shetty and Madhavan are playing the lead roles in the movie. Anushka Shetty will essay the role of a mute artist named Sakshi Chaudhary, while Madhavan will play a blind musician.
Recently the actress has completed 14 years in the film industry. And currently, she is in demand, with most filmmakers. After Trisha walked out of Chiranjeevi’s Acharya, director Koratala Siva planned to get her on-board. But this combination didn’t materialize as the actress was demanding a huge remuneration. She is also in talks for a biopic of popular Carnatic singer Banglore Nagarathnamma. Veteran director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao will helm the project.
As per the latest reports, Anushka is all set to team up with Kamal Haasan for the sequel of Gautham Menon’s Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. It is sggested that the directors and producers want Anushka Shetty to play the female lead opposite Kamal Haasan. Gautham Menon is also planning to do a woman-centric film with Anushka Shetty. It is unclear which project will go on floors first.
