One of Arulnithi's most eagerly anticipated roles is in the upcoming Tamil movie Diary, which has him in the lead role. With this movie, director Innisai Pandiyan, who also co-wrote the script for "Chiyaan" Vikram's next movie Cobra, makes his directing debut. Here is all you need to know about the movie as it prepares to hit theatres on Friday, August 26.
The producers of Diary released a suspenseful thriller-themed trailer back in July. It presented Arulnithi as a police officer who was in charge of a team of detectives looking into the unsolved fatalities in Ooty, a mountainous region in Tamil Nadu. It featured the main character conducting various investigations and enduring hazardous conditions in order to solve a long-standing crime.
The film's creators revealed last week via social media that the Censor Board of Film Certification had given it a U/A rating (CBFC). The movie is expected to be an investigative thriller. The movie is being distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin under his Red Giant Movies label, with financial support from S Kathiresan under the Five Star Creations label and coproduction from Sekar Babu.
Arulnithi, meanwhile, was last observed in Dejavu and D Block. He has Demonte Colony's sequel on the schedule. The sequel is anticipated to be funded by the original 2015 film's director, Ajay Gnanamuthu. Gnanamuthu further disclosed that there are intentions to turn the sequel into a franchise during the introduction of the sequel. In addition to this, Arulnithi is working on an untitled project with director Gowthamraj.
