Actor Arvind Swami is considered as one of the intelligent stars in Tamil Nadu. from offering his two cents on politics to raising his opinion about theatre occupancy during Covid-19 pandemic, he does it all. On January 8, Arvind Swami took to Twitter to question the practice of having a uniform price for movie tickets.
He wrote, "I have never understood why the price of movie tickets needs to be restricted. How do u have the same price for different products, produced at different costs, exhibited through the different quality of theatres, in different areas with different real estate investments?"
Arvind Swami's tweet received a lot of replies from people who offered their opinion on the topic. Recently, he spoke against the Tamil Nadu government who allowed 100 per cent occupancy in theatres during the Covid-19 pandemic. After receiving flak for their order from the public and the Madras High Court, the Tamil Nadu government reversed their order and said that the theatres in the state will operate with 50 per cent occupancy. Next week, Master and Eeswaran are releasing in theatres.
