Asuran director Vetrimaaran to release national-award winning film Baaram

When National Awards for the year 2018 was announced, it brought a smile to everyone's face as a small-budget flick, Baaram won the Best Film for the year 2018. The latest reports suggest that the film will have a theatrical release soon and now a national award-winning director will back this project.

 
Recently, Vetrimaaran listened to the plot of the film and was moved by it and hence he made the decision to present the film. The story of Balaam follows a night watch who breaks his hip after a nasty fall.
 
Karupasamy, the night watchman goes to the village for further treatment and passes away under mysterious circumstances. Balaram is also a realistic take on several practices that are prevalent in the rural areas of the state. Balaram moved everyone and brought to light some nasty practices.
 
Director Priya Krishnaswamy's script of Baaram convinced Vetrimaaran and hence he decided to present the film across Tamil Nadu.
