Athulya Ravi on Suttu Pidikka Utharavu
Athulya Ravi has been the charming princess of Instagram and has owned an incredulously monstrous fan following base for her wowing looks. Well, that doesn’t actually settle her up in a comfort zone for she has always been earnestly looking up to experiment with unique roles. On a much assertive note, actress Athulya Ravi claims that Suttu Pidikka Utharavu has made her attempt something completely out of the box from her erstwhile movies. She says, “Yes, Suttu Pidikka Utharavu is completely new when it comes to my part. The film doesn’t have any routine commercial ingredients, songs and even romantic portions. I will be seen as a girl from the slums of Coimbatore, who is undergoing teacher training.”
Giving yet more insight about the film, she says, “The story is about an unexpected incident that happens to this girl when a bunch of robbers barge into the slum, where she dwells and how it changes her course of action. When director Ramprakash Rayappa sir told me the story, he clearly mentioned that my portions will be a breathing space amidst the fast-moving racy thriller. All I can say for now is that my role will be a suspense element in the film.” Athulya Ravi opines that she didn’t have to undergo any special training for playing a slum girl in this film. She tots up saying, “Actually, my role didn’t demand such efforts. Since I am playing the girl from Coimbatore; I had to include some regional slang accordingly.”
Suttu Pidikka Utharavu stars Vikranth, Athulya Ravi, Mysskin and Suseenthiran in lead roles with Jakes Bejoy composing music and Sujith Sarang cranking the camera. Produced by P.K. Ram Mohan, the film is scheduled for worldwide release on June 14, 2019.
