Ayan Mukerji Responds To Negative Reactions And Criticism Of 'Brahmastra.'

As the theatrical run of "Brahmastra" draws to a close, director Ayan Mukerji is taking stock of all the feedback he has received.

Ayan stated at a press conference yesterday that he will wait a few weeks for the film's buzz to "calm down" before acting on the criticism.

The director was questioned regarding his unfavorable remarks and criticism over the previous month. When discussing the criticism received, he remarked, "I have heard stuff like the dialogues did not really work as well, people weren’t 100 percent convinced about the love story. So, I am hearing it, but I am also waiting for enough time for the film to truly settle."

He said he would start observing the responses only after the movie had been made available via streaming and satellite. The director added, "I don't want to learn the wrong lessons."

"There are a lot of people writing about the film and all, and I am happy to hear it, but I don’t know if they have a pulse on what is truly working and not working on a film, and I think you can go very wrong when you start over listening to everything as well. So I am trying to be sure that the right feedback reaches me so I can learn from that for the future," he said.

In a recent interview, Mukerji stated he was closely monitoring everything mentioned about the movie, but on Wednesday, he said he hadn't yet "accepted" the bad press.
