Shoojit Sircar, who's known for making some of the best films of Bollywood, has a stalled film called Shoebite. The film stars the veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan in it. Unfortunately, Shorbitecouldn't be released anywhere due to some disputes related to the rights of the film. But those who've seen the film cannot stop praising it. For instance, Ayushmann Khurrana says that he's seen the film twice and simply loves it.
In an interview with a leading daily, Ayushmann said, "I have seen that film twice by the way in the edit and it is Shoojit's best film till date. If it is released, it is going to be India’s entry to Oscars or something like that. It’s so beautiful. I think somebody should request and release it right now. This is the time,” he said. “I have seen it twice before Vicky Donor by the way. Once alone and once with Tahira. I was so inspired and happy,” he said.
During the Instagram interview session, filmmaker Sidharth Malhotra also replied. He wrote, "I completely agree that the film is undoubtedly a masterpiece and arguably one of @SrBachchan's best performances in current times he really gave the film a lot of heart and soul and you feel it totally !!!"
The film is about the story of a man in his early 60s who's set out on a journey to discover himself. Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, the film also stars Dia Mirza, Sarika, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Jimmy Shergill and others.
