KV Vijayendra Prasad is a popular writer who has delivered many blockbuster films. Baahubali, Bhajrangi Bhaijaan, and Manikarnika are some of the popular works of him. Currently, Prasad is working for RRR, which is being directed by his son SS Rajamouli. He has also penned the script of Kangana Ranaut 's upcoming movie Thalaivi. If the ongoing rumors are anything to go by, Vijayendra Prasad penned a historical drama script recently. Apparently, Rana Daggubati will play the lead role in this movie.

 
According to the sources, this movie will be a period-historic drama. Rana will play the role of a person who cooks cane. He belongs to the clan of Lord Venkateshwara. It seems that Prasad has also added a spiritual touch to the script. If everything falls in place, this project may go on floors by early next year. More details of it will get revealed soon.
 
Meanwhile, Rana is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming film Aranya. Directed by Prabhu Solomon, this film will have a simultaneous release in Hindi and Tamil as well. The Hindi version got titled Haathi Mere Saathi. The Tamil version got titled Kaadan. It was originally slated for the release on April 2. But the COVID-19 pandemic has ruined all the plans. The new release date will get announced soon. On the flip side, Rana is also acting in the love drama Virata Parvam. Directed by Venu Udugula, this movie features Sai Pallavi as the female lead. Rana plays the role of a Naxalite in this movie.
