Darlings, Alia Bhatt's latest release, is currently enjoying great success. After years of experiencing domestic abuse, Alia's character Badrunissa "Badru" Ansari Shaikh seeks payback against her husband Hamza, played by Vijay Varma. Jasmeet K. Reen, making her feature film directorial debut, is behind the camera. Before getting married, Alia explained why she moved in with her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor.
In an interview with Filmfare, Alia disclosed that they had planned to move in together because they intended to be married. "Then the pandemic happened, so the planning couldn't stop. So we were like at least go ahead with moving in and we'll figure out the rest, let this all settle down. Actually, we planned it like that only," she said. Further, she also talked about people opting for live-in relationships: "If you can, why not? I think it's great. You get used to each other, you get comfortable, you build so many memories without the pressure and that baggage or like 'shaadi karni hai'."
After dating for five years, the pair got married on April 14, 2022, at their Vastu home in Bandra, Mumbai. In June, Alia surprised everyone by announcing her pregnancy on social media.
In terms of her professional life, Alia is preparing for the premiere of Ayan Mukerji's eagerly anticipated movie Brahmastra. It also stars Ranbir in the lead role with Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna. On September 9, 2022, it is planned to be released in theatres in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. She would then appear in the films Heart Of Stone, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, and Jee Le Zara.
