Director Atlee’s Bigil is the biggest release for this Diwali and it seems to have turned out to be a perfect Diwali entertainer. Starting Vijay, Nayanthara and Jackie Shroff, the sports-dram, produced by AGS Entertainments, based on women’s football.
There was an air of tension for the past couple of days as the ruling government, AIADMK, did not give permission to screen early morning shows for the film. After trying so hard, it was only a few hours ago before the film’s release, the government gave permission.
Following the government order, shows were scheduled as early as 4 AM across the state. However, fans were in for a disappointment as the screening got delayed due to KDM issues. Many people who had booked for 4 AM and 430 AM shows, had to wait for an hour for the film to start.
Around 5 o clock, the KDM issues sorted out and Bigil finally released. The film which released in over 3000 screens across the world has been receiving mixed reviews from critics and audiences. The opening day box office collection is solid and will shatter new records.
