Vijay is upbeat about his upcoming film Bigil, directed by Atlee. As the film is days away from release, the makers have released the film’s trailer, which looks grand and spectacular. Bigil’s trailer showcases Vijay as a tough taskmaster Michael.
Michael aka Bigil is a football coach who is not liked by his students, especially Indhuja. They question his credibility and we see slow-mo visuals of him playing football in a grand stadium. Vijay’s football skills are excellent and on point.
Meanwhile, we also see his father Rayappan all set to slay some 20 rowdys, and he says ‘Namma aatam verithanama irukum.’ From the first look of the trailer, Bigil is a perfect blend of a riveting sports-drama with elements of love, comedy, and action.
Nayanthara seems to play a brief role and we have to wait and see if she has a substantial role to play. Jackie Shroff comes in a blink and miss role in the trailer. GK Vishnu’s visuals are brilliant and every frame looks picture perfect.
AR Rahman’s thumping music and editor Ruben’s quick cuts are perfect for the pace of the film. Bigil, produced by AGS Entertainment, will release on Diwali this month.
