It is safe to say that Diwali has come two days early for film buffs across the country. As reported earlier, Vijay’s Bigil and Karthi’s Kaithi have released together on October 25 and is all set for a healthy completition at the box office.
Vijay’s Bigil, produced by AGS Entertainments, is made on a grand budget of Rs 180 crore. Of the two films, Bigil has an upper hand as more number of screens are allotted to the film. The film has received mixed reviews yet the opening day collection is all set to wow everyone.
Bigil is facing stiff competition with Karthi-starrer Kaithi. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film is an excellent action-drama with kickass performances. Unlike Bigil, Kaithi is receiving unanimous appreciation from all quarters.
However, the film will have a poor opening in Tamil and Telugu states as distributors have bought Bigil for exorbitant rates. Trade analysts are hoping that the positive word of mouth for Kaithi will reflect in the film’s box office collections.
