As Neeraj Chopra won silver in the men's javelin throw final at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, various Bollywood celebs flocked to social media to express their congratulations.

 
Kareena Kapoor Khan shared an Instagram story with a photo of Neeraj clutching the Indian flag.
 
Madhur Bhandarkar, a filmmaker, also posted an Instagram Story with the caption, "Big Congratulations to @Neeraj_Chopra for making history yet again by winning a silver medal at world athletics championship in Oregon USA. Absolutely brilliant."
 
By tweeting a video of him tossing the javelin and adding, "The unstoppable @neeraj chopra... pride of India," Kangana Ranaut praised Neeraj on her stories.

At the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Neeraj finished second in the men's javelin throw final with a distance of 88.13m with his fourth try. Neeraj also made history by being the second Indian in the history of the World Championships to place on the podium with a podium finish in the track and field.
 
Neeraj also made history by being the first track and field athlete from India to win a medal at a major championship, and the second Indian to place on the podium after the great long jumper Anju Bobby George, who took third place in the 2003 World Championships in Paris.
