Akkineni Nagarjuna, who faced a debacle in the form of his last release Manmadhudu 2, is now shooting for an intense cop drama called Wild Dog. Directed by Ahishir Solomon, this film features Nag in the role of a ruthless encounter specialist Vijay Varma. The makers have said that film is heavily based on real-life incidents.
The shoot of Wild Dog is currently happening in Mumbai where the team is shooting some important sequences. Meanwhile, we got an important update on the film. Popular Bollywood actress Dia Mirza will play the female lead role in this film. Dia is a Hyderabadi girl but pursued her career in the Hindi film industry. She acted in films like Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, and Sanju.
Dia will take part in the shoot of Wild Dog soon, said the sources. The first look of the film is already out and received a good response from the audience. Nag is planning to strike back hard with this film. Wild Dog is being produced by Niranjan Reddy and Anvesh Reddy under the Matinee Entertainments banner. Shaniel Deo, who worked for films like Kshanam, Goodachari, and Nissabdham, is handling the cinematography for this movie.
