We all know how hard the coronavirus pandemic has affected all our lives. The film industry is one of the sectors which is facing severe losses due to the pandemic. There is zero business happening in the last two years. All the productions got stalled and theaters got shut. With this, the film which planned to release this year, are now postponing their releases to the next year. The latest film to join this postponement list is Kannada biggie KGF Chapter:2. If the latest rumor is anything to go by, KGF 2 will only hit the screens in 2021. The film was earlier slated for the release on October 23rd this year.
According to the sources, 90% of KGF 2's shooting got wrapped up. There are a few talkie scenes left for the shoot. But it is the post-production work which will take a lot of time. We are already aware that KGF is an action thriller that has an ample amount of VFX elements. The makers need a lot of time to work on the postproduction. Thus, we hear that even though they wrap up the shoot, it takes some time to get done with the post-production works.
Apparently, the rest of the shoot will begin as soon as the lockdown gets lifted. The entire shoot will get wrapped up in Karnataka itself. The new release date will get announced after a few weeks. Directed by Prashanth Neel, this film features Yash in the lead role. KGF 2 also stars Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon in the other important roles.
