#Candle4SSR cross 1million mark, justice for Sushant Singh Rajput

The recent demise of Bollywood celebrity Sushant Singh Rajput is being mourned by Twitterati, even to date. His fans from all over the world are venting out on social media platforms, in his memory. It's not surprising that this news has taken everybody by shock, but it also began a very important conversation against suicide. Many are taking to Twitter to share the importance of nurturing mental health and de-stigmatizing the conversation.

In this light, his fans are using the hashtag #Candle4SSR to seek justice. This digital protest reached over a million tweets. In these tweets, the fans pose with lit up candles, for his soul to rest in peace. Another motive behind the hashtag is the controversy, that the actor's death is a murder. Claiming that the Bollywood mafia is the cause and that it was not a suicide. The fans are demanding that the case should transfer to the CBI for further investigation. The fans believe that the Mumbai police are unjust and that the reality is unknown.

Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on 14th June 2020. Ever since then, Bollywood fans and celebrities are in distress. Kangana Ranaut, Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman, Ankita Lokhande, Mukesh Chhabra, and Subramanian Swamy have also participated in this digital dissent. His fans seem to have neither geographical bound nor age limit.

What's left is to see if these million posts create any pressure for a real change and an investigation by CBI.
