Chinmayi Sripada, singer and a well-known dubbing artist is the first to represent on the issue of #Metoo from Telugu industry. She has previously made allegations of sexual misconduct on the popular Tamil lyricist Vairamuthu. No formidable action was taken against him till now and it seems like Chinmayi is not going to let it go too easy.
She got banned from the Tamil industry and all these happenings vexed her a lot more and she has decided to take this issue to the whole next level. She tagged Union Minister Maneka Gandhi in a social media post regarding this issue. She tweeted "I have registered a formal complaint against Mr. Vairamuthu with the National Council for Women. As of now, this is the only legal route that I have. I am looking forward to the NCW @Manekagandhibjp in helping me take this complaint to a logical conclusion."
It is known that his husband Rahul Ravindran, actor and director stood by her side and providing adequate support. He also tweeted some in favour of his wife. Previously she also shared the others’ allegations on social media. We have to wait and see whether she will be provided with a notable response or not.
