Chinmayi urges for changes in-laws

Rahul Ramakrishna is one of the talented actors in the Indian film industry now. The actor recently shared that he got raped. We already shared what Rahul Ramakrishna shared about his trauma. Chinmayi who is a dear friend of Rahul and who always speaks about the rights of men and women extended her support to him.

Chinmayi shared his tweet and wrote, "The amount of strength this takes to share this, is unbelievable. Patriarchy and its vice-like grip over society prevents anyone from sharing and finding healing or legal recourse from trauma associated with sexual assault and abuse. Even if women have a chance of sharing it with another woman, only for her to say, "Me Too", men rarely do. There's an urgent need for lawmakers & people in the legal machinery to be made aware and sensitized to the fact that men face sexual assault! Young boys are equally at risk as girls are. But parents, families, society and the police are NOT IN THE LEAST prepared to address it!" she posted on her Twitter profile.

Let us hope that many more men come forward and share their stories of trauma to make the world a better place.
