The film Godfather was one of the most awaited releases in the Telugu film world this year. Being the official remake of the Malayalam hit Lucifer, the film had a huge pre-release hype. Salman Khan's guest appearance in the film, in which Chiranjeevi played the titular character, is a factor that has raised interest in the film among Hindi film lovers as well. In Lucifer, Salman is playing the character played by Prithviraj. Now the makers have released a video song from the film.

 
This is the song that comes in Chiranjeevi's main fight scene in the film. The song starts with Najabhaja and the lyrics are penned by Ananda Sriram. The song is composed by Thaman S and sung by Sri Krishna and Prithvi Chandra. In Malayalam, Nayanthara will appear as the character played by Manju Warrier in The Godfather. This is Chiranjeevi's 153rd film in his career. The movie is produced by Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films. Satyadev Kancharana also plays an important role. The film's cinematographer is Nirav Shah, who has also shot Master, starring Vijay. The art director is Suresh Selvarajan, who has done art direction for many Bollywood films.
 
Mohan Raja's name was officially announced after the names of three directors came and went. The name of Pushpa, directed by Sukumar, was first heard as the director of the film. But this was not confirmed information. Later, the name of Sujeeth, who made Saaho, was heard as the director of the Lucifer remake. But there were reports that Chiranjeevi was not satisfied with the final draught given by Sujeeth and removed him as well. The name of VV Vinayak, who made films like Aadi, Tagore, and Bunny, was also heard later. Later, Mohan Raja himself officially announced that he was going to direct the film. The remake may also make necessary changes in the script, keeping the Telugu audience in front of it. The film's OTT rights have also been sold, according to the latest update. According to a report by Let's OTT Global, Netflix has the streaming rights to the film.
