Chiranjeevi’s ‘Mega’ donation to Telugu film directors association
Megastar Chiranjeevi has yet again proved that he is always there for the needy. Right from inviting one of his fans over lunch to contributing Rs 10 lakh to Raghava Lawrence's charitable trust, the star is making quite a lot of charity these days. He has not only given Rs 1 lakh to a fireman who risked his life to save a 4-year-old girl, but he had also donated a whopping amount of Rs 1 Crore towards Sri. Allu Ramalingaiah Homeopathy College in Rajahmundry founded after his father-in-law’s name.
Amidst this, the actor has once again surprised the film fraternity with his ‘Mega’ donation to Telugu film directors association on Saturday. Marking the birthday anniversary of 'Darsaka Ratna' Dasari Narayana Rao on May 4, Telugu film directors association has decided to entitled May 4th as ‘Directors' day’. Upon this, all the association members have organised a meet on Saturday in Hyderabad and have invited Chiranjeevi as the chief guest for the event.
On this note, director Raghavendra Rao has made an announcement regarding the trust for underprivileged directors which aims to gather a fund of Rs 5-10 Cr and it will help pay a monthly pension of Rs 5,000 to the filmmakers who are really in need. The trust would extend its helping hand to veterans, associates and assistants. Upon the call of Raghavendra Rao who urged everyone to contribute to this cause, Megastar Chiranjeevi has announced a huge contribution of Rs 25 lakhs. Chiranjeevi has also shared a few incidences he shared with Dasari and thanked the trust members for giving him this opportunity.
