C/o Kancherapalem is the movie which brought back the art cinema tradition which became almost non-existent in the Telugu film industry. Directed by debutant Venkatesh Maha, this little gem won a lot of critical acclaim and also minted a good amount of money at the box office. The universal storyline is attracting the makers of other industries to remake the film in their languages.
Already, it is getting remade into Tamil and Malayalam. Now, the official Kannada remake also got announced. Noted actor Srinagara Kitty is playing the central role in the film. Directed by Om Raghu, this film also features RJ Srini, Teju Belwadi and Achyuth Kumar in the other lead roles.
In a recent interview, Kitty said that even though it is a remake, they are making certain changes to the story, according to the sensibilities of the Kannada audiences. He hoped that even Kannada viewers will make the film a success, just like the Telugu audiences did. He added that he is playing such a character in the film that he has never attempted to do before, in his career. The actor concluded by stating that he doesn't want to do repetitive charters and wants to attempt different roles which creates a lasting impression among the viewers.
