Following the historic win that RRR managed to pull off, at the Golden Globe Awards this year, congratulations are pouring in from everywhere for the entire team.
Director SS Rajamouli's RRR has most certainly created history by winning a Golden Globe last night. Music director MM Keeravani accepted the award for the Best Original Song, for Naatu Naatu, which is sung by Kaaa Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj. Chandrabose wrote the lyrics for the song. The song became a huge success upon its release, with everyone falling in love with the synchronised steps of Ram Charan and NTR in the song.
NTR, Ram Charan, Rajamouli and Keeravani were present at the awards ceremony last night, along with their wives. The historic win is currently trending in India, with congratulations pouring in from everywhere for the entire team.
Right from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, a lot of prominent people have congratulated the team of RRR. The film has made every Indian and ever Telugu very proud. While RRR was also nominated in the Best Foreign Film category, it didn't get the award.
On the other hand, the film is also expected to get nominated in the upcoming Oscars. The nominations for this year's Academy Awards are yet to be announced. Rajamouli and NTR are said to have been shortlisted in the Best Director and Best Actor categories.
RRR was released in march last year, and features NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles. NTR is seen as Komaram Bheem while Ram Charan is seen as Alluri Sitaramaraju. The film features Alia Bhatt and Olivia Morris as the leading ladies. Hollywood actors Ray Stevenson and Alison Doody featured as the primary antagonists.
