With the reduction in the lockdown restriction with alcohol shops opening up, Duniya Vijay is now advocating for permission to open gyms. The actor is well known for his bodybuilding hobby. He says that gyms should now be open with restrictions.
Duniya Vijay took to his Facebook account to talk about the hardships that gym trainers and gyms might be facing. He wrote about how gym owners have to pay monthly installments and that the livelihood of gym trainers is dependent on gyms. Since liquor shops have are now open with certain norms and restrictions; gyms too can run with certain restrictions with respect to the number of people per session. He says that gym owners can provide sanitizers for prevention. Vijay has asked the government to take a look into this matter.
On the work front, Duniya Vijay was last seen in the film Johnny Johnny ye Papa. The film was an action thriller. Preetham Gubbi directed the film. Duniya Vijay wrote and produced the film under his own banner Duniya Talkies. Apart from Duniya Vijay, the film also starred actors Rachita Ram, Rangayana Raghu and Sadhu Kokila.
He will next appear in the film Salaga. Salaga will mark the directorial debut of Duniya Vijay. The film will stars actors Sanjana Anand, Dhananjay, and Nagabhushan in pivotal roles. The film is being produced by KP Srikanth. Charan Raj will be composing the film's background music and Naveen Sajju will be composing the film's music. Salaga is a crime thriller that follows a tale about the underworld. The film was to hit the theaters in March 2020. Owing to the coronavirus outbreak the release date now stands postponed indefinitely.
