COVID-19: Shah Rukh Khan contributes 25000 PPE kits to medical team across Maharashtra

COVID-19: Shah Rukh Khan contributes 25000 PPE kits to medical team across Maharashtra

Shah Rukh Khan has been doing his part to combat the coronavirus. A couple of weeks ago, the actor took to social media to share his contribution to the PM-CARES fund. King Khan has now come forward to help the medical community. Shah Rukh Khan has agreed to provide 25000 PPE across Maharastra to the medical teams fighting the coronavirus.

 
Rajesh Tope, Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare Maharashtra took to Twitter to write, "Many thanks to Mr. Shah Rukh Khan for your kind contribution of 25,000 PPE kits. This will go a long way in supporting our fight against COVID19 & protecting our frontline medical care team @iamsrk @MeerFoundation @CMOMaharashtra".
 
In reply, the Shah Rukh Khan wrote, "Thank you, sir, for all your help to source the kits. We are all together in this endeavor to protect ourselves and humanity. Glad to be of service. May your family & team is safe and healthy."
 
The donation announcement comes weeks after a previous announcement. Previously, Shah Rukh Khan's Meer Foundation was to work with the governments of Maharashtra and West Bengal to help supply 50,000 PPE kits.
 
Shah Rukh is not the only family member contributing to help battle coronavirus. Recently, Gauri Khan offered up her 4-storied personal office to be used as a treatment facility for COVID-19 patients.
 
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is looking forward to Don 3.
