September 25, 2021, marks the first death anniversary of legendary singer SP Bala Subrahmanyam. Ahead of his anniversary, rumors were rife that his last song for Rajinikanth's Annaatthe might release today. However, singer D Imman told Indiaglitz that the song will release on a later day. He also shared some interesting tidbits about the introduction song for Rajinikanth in director Siruthai Siva's Annaatthe. The commercial entertainer features Rajinikanth, Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Khushbu, Meena, Prakash Raj, and Soori in crucial roles.
In a recent interview, D Imman said, "The song sung by SPB in 'Annaatthe' is not releasing tomorrow on the first death anniversary of SP Balasubramanyam sir as the song release will become a celebration among the fans, so we have decided to avoid it to release on a mourning day. But the song will be arriving soon, and you can expect the update from the makers once the date is finalized. "It will be an energetic song from the voice of SP Balasubramanyam sir, and it will also make you feel emotional since he is no longer with us. It was always a pleasure working with SPB sir, and he carries positive vibes. We thought of making the Telugu version of the song with SPB sir too, but unfortunately, it didn't happen, and we are yet to finish the Telugu songs."
