Daggubati Venkateswara Rao opens up about ‘NTR Kathanayakudu’
It is good news for the Nandamuri fans as one of the family members broke the ice by responding to the NTR’s biopic. Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, also the son-in-law of NTR shared his mind that 'NTR Kathanayakudu' impressed him on the whole and that he didn’t understand why it failed at the box office. “The cast and crew have done complete justice to the movie,” he added.
However, he differed with some of the sequences shown in the movie. He said that in post interval part, the filmmakers have shown that attempts were made to take away TDP MLAs when they were traveling to Delhi in the train which was not true. “I was on the same train at that time. Nothing as such has happened especially the attack on any of the MLAs. They had voluntarily come to Ramakrishna Studios,” said Venkateswara Rao.
He also said that political leaders back then used to roam freely without tight security as the present ones have. “We used to go out, watch movies and enjoy the life freely with our families and nobody imposed restrictions on us,” he admitted.
However, the revelations he made might have added spice to the marketing while the makers are on campaigning mode. Yet Daggubati Venkateswara Rao’s comments supported the point that Krish tried to elevate some unnecessary things which added to the failure of the movie.
