Darbar faces stiff competition from two Bollywood biggies

Superstar Rajinikanth is upbeat about his upcoming film Darbar, which is helmed by AR Murugadoss. The film stars Nayanthara, Suneil Shetty, Prateik Babbar, Yogi Babu, Jeeva and Nivetha Thomas in crucial roles. The film is all set to hit the theatres worldwide on January 10 ahead of Pongal.
 
The trailer of Rajinikanth's Darbar will release today (December 16) at PVR Cinemas in Juhu. According to the makers, the trailer will release at 6:30 with the crew promoting the film in Mumbai.
 
The latest reports suggest that Darbar will face stiff competition at the box office. Earlier, it was reported that Darbar will have a solo release on January 10, but now, the film will have to compete with two Bollywood biggies namely, Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan's Tahnaji - The Unsung Warrior and Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak.
 
In the south, Darbar will have a solo release on January 10 in Tamil and Telugu. The other big releases in Telugu will release in the subsequent days. Mahesh Babu's Sarileru Neekevvaru and Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikuntapuramlo will release on January 11 and 12.
