Darbar makers distressed as film gets leaked on TV

Superstar Rajinikanth is rejoicing the comments coming his way for his energetic performance in his recently released film Darbar. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film is a cop thriller that features Nayanthara, Suneil Shetty, Nivetha Thomas, Prateik Babbar and Yogi Babu playing important roles.

The film, bankrolled by Lyca Productions, hit the theatres on January 9 amid much fanfare. According to reports, the film released in over 4000 screens across the globe in three different languages namely Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. However, Darbar has been facing several issues right from the day it hit the theatres.
Superstar Rajinikanth’s film has fallen prey to piracy once again. The film was aired on. Madurai based channel called Saranya Tv, days after the release. Lyca Productions and the rest of the team were shell shocked to know this and they have sought the help of the cops to take action against the organization of the channel.
The production house has filed a complaint with the Commissioner of Police, Law, and Order, requesting them to take necessary action against the channel. A couple of days ago, we had reported that the entire film was leaked on WhatsApp and was being circulated widely.
