Death Threat Controversy Of Katrina Kaif And Vicky Kaushal: Struggling Actor Manvinder Singh Charged With Two Days In Police Custody

Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal made headlines yesterday after receiving alleged death threats on social media, prompting the Mumbai Police to investigate. According to ANI sources, the Mumbai Police had even filed a complaint against the unnamed individual, and the man who had threatened the actors had subsequently been taken into custody. Manvinder Singh, a small-time actor, is the individual in question as per the recent reports.

A Mumbai court on Tuesday ordered Manvinder Singh to be in police custody till July 28, according to reports in Times Of India. According to reports, he is a struggling actor and a huge Katrina Kaif fan. He reportedly intended to marry the actress and frequently shared photoshopped images of Katrina online. He is alleged to have been harassing her on social media and stalking her for the last few months. Since then, he has started threatening the actress from Namastey London and her husband Vicky Kaushal with death. Vicky Kaushal filed a police report against Singh on Monday, stating that he and his wife had been threatened on Instagram.

According to the official, Santacruz police filed an FIR under Indian Penal Code Sections 506-II (criminal intimidation) and 354-D (stalking) against the unnamed individual in response to the complaint. The official then said that no arrests have been made as of yet. Singh was brought before a court in Bandra earlier today after being detained by the police in Malad the same day.

On the professional front, Katrina Kaif will next be seen with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter in Phone Bhoot. She also has Tiger 3 with Salman Khan and Merry Christmas with Sriram Raghavan and Vijay Sethupathi. Vicky, on the other hand, will appear in a comedy alongside Manushi Chillar, Sam Bahadur, and Govinda Naam Mera.
