There is no doubt that Deepika Padukone has always had a very special relationship with her father Prakash Padukone. On Prakash Padukone's 65th birthday Deepika took to Instagram to share a throwback picture from back when she was still a baby. In the picture, an adorable young Deepika is seen sitting with her father on the sofa. Deepika and Prakash Padukone also have beaming smiles across their faces in the picture.
Deepika is seen wearing cute blue pyjamas and a pink top. A younger Prakash Padukone is seen wearing a sports jersey in the same picture as he holds on to his beautiful baby girl.
Taking to Twitter and other social media sites Deepika captioned the post with a heartfelt message for her father. The Padmaavat actor wrote, "To the greatest off-screen hero I could have ever had! Thank You for showing us that being a true champion is not only about one’s professional achievements, but also about being a good human being! Happy 65th Birthday, Pappa! We love you (sic)."
Deepika's sister Anisha reacted to the pic post by dropping in a heart shaped emoji in the comments section.
On the work front Deepika Padukone is all set to appear once again with her husband Ranveer Singh in the Kabir Khan directed '83. Deepika Padukone is also going to appear alongside Ananya Pandey and Siddhant Chaturvedi in Shakun Batra's upcoming movie.
