Deepika Padukone has had an amazing journey in Bollywood. Right from her first film, she managed to impress a large section of the audience. However, in an interview, recalls a few people criticizing her for her accent. "There was also a section of people who scathingly criticized my work. Oh, she is a model. she cannot act: My accent was made fun of. A lot was said and written about me and my craft, and, the truth is, all of it was extremely hurtful. When you are all of 21, this kind of brickbats most certainly affect you," said Deepika to a leading daily.
But the actress keeps herself motivated despite all the criticisms. In fact, she says that the negative comments fuel her to perform better and that's what she has been incorporating in her life. "It fuels me to work harder, to improve my skills, and evolve the various aspects of my craft. More importantly, it fuels my personal evolution. Failure, too, has taught me a lot. I have often been put down, even written off. But I have never been bitter about these experiences. In fact. I am grateful," added the Tamasha actress.
Meanwhile, Deepika is working on her upcoming projects. She has recently shot in Goa for Shakun Batra's upcoming untitled film starring Ananya Pandey and Sidharth Chaturvedi.
