Deepika Padukone: 'Excuse me, it is my money.'

The upcoming film, Chhapaak, is presumably one of the most awaited films of the year as it has managed to touch the hearts of the audience ever since the release of its trailer.

Deepika Padukone, the lead actor, plays the role of an acid attack survivor by the name of Malti. She will be making her comeback on the movie screens almost after 2 years. The movie is also her debut as a producer. So it is no doubt that Deepika has invested her hard-earned money to produce the film and she is rightly credited as a producer as well.

The title song for the movie was released today and Deepika attended the press conference along with co-star Vikrant Massey, director Meghna Gulzar, lyricist Gulzar, and musician Shankar Mahadevan. Laxmi Agarwal, on whose life the film is based was present at the event as well. During the conference, a person happened to assume that Ranveer Singh is also ‘a kind of’ producer of the film. To this Deepika clapped back saying, “Excuse me, it’s my money.” Meghna Gulzar also retorts and says that it is very wrong to assume something like that.
