Bollywood starlet Deepika Padukone's recent outing 'Chhapaak' under the direction of Meghna Gulzar which showcased the story of an acid attack victim has been receiving critical acclaim from the audience.
Now, what is going to be Deepika Padukone's next project has become a hot topic. Pradeep Sarkar is currently working on the biopic on Bindoni Dasi, popularly known as Nati Binodini. She was born into prostitution but become a famous theatre artist in the 19th century. The makers have approached Deepika for the film and the actress also liked the script but turned down the offer. It seems like Deepika really liked the story but was busy with Chhapaak promotions.
Finally, her team confirmed that she couldn’t do the movie as she wanted to do light-hearted movies for a while. She is yet to announce her next project.
Apparently, Deepika is not happy with the performance of the movie Chhapaak at the box-office. Unfortunately, the film has fallen into multiple controversies already before the release and they showed an impact too. Now, the actress wants to introspect on the film's failure and come out with a proper movie as her next one.
