Dhanush calls Karthik Subbaraj the best director on his birthday

Dhanush is one of the promising actors Kollywood has got now. his exceptional performance landed him an opportunity in Hollywood with Netflix's The Gray Man. Directed by Russo Brothers, the film stars Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans in the lead roles. Dhanush is waiting for the release of two of his films, Karnan and Jagame Thandhiram. While Karnan will release in theatres, Jagame Thandhiram will release directly on Netflix. Dhanush is not pleased with Jagame Thandhiram releasing on Netflix and is said to have had a major fallout with producer Sashikanth.

However, Dhanush holds Jagame Thandhiram's director Karthik Subbaraj in high regards. As Karthik Subbaraj is celebrating his birthday today, Dhanush took to Twitter to wish him and complimented him. He wrote, ""Wishing you a very happy birthday @karthiksubbaraj you are easily one of the best directors I have worked with. Keep rocking. God bless (sic)." Jagame Thandhiram is expected to hit the theatres sometime in May. An official announcement is still awaited. The film also stars Dhanush, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Kalaiayarasan and Sanchana Nartarajan.
