Dhanush is one of the prolific actors in the Tamil film industry. He was last seen in Durai Senthilkumar's Pattaas and is currently waiting for the release of his upcoming film Jagame Thandhiram. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the film's release has been postponed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. Recently, Dhanush announced that he has signed his next film with director Selvaraghavan. On Pongal, Selvaraghavan unveiled the title and the first-look posters of his film with Dhanush. Titled Naane Varuven, the film is tipped to be a gangster drama. Now, reports suggest that Tamannaah has been approached to play the heroine in the film.
Tamannaah is said to have been given a narration by Selvaragahavan and is expected to sign on the dotted line soon. Reportedly, Dhanush will be playing the role of a gangster in the film. An official confirmation regarding the same is yet to be out. Naane Varuven has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raj and cinematography by Aravind Krishna. Post Naane Varuven, Dhanush, and Selvaraghavan will work on Aayirathil Oruvan 2, which will release in 2024.
