Dhanush's Naane Varuven Drags Behind Ponniyin Selvan; Manages To Collect 30 Crores

Dhanush's "Naane Varuvean," released in theatres last Thursday. After the success of "Thiruchitrambalam", Naane Varuven is his second theatrical release of the year. Naane Varuven was released to mixed reviews. It saw a drop in admissions after "Ponniyin Selvan" was released on the 30th. As a result, the number of screens for the Dhanush starrer was also decreased. Naane Varuven collected around 3 crores worldwide on day 7. Around 2.45 crores of the total collection was from Tamil Nadu itself. The total collection surpassed 30 crores now. On the other hand, Ponniyin Selvan is storming on theatres. It continues the run with around 320 crores of total collection.

The producers of "Naane Varuven" have stated that the movie is a success. They intend to work together once more on another project. Dhanush plays a dual character in the Selvaraghavan-directed film "Naane Varuven". The film also stars Elli AvrRam and Indhuja as the female leads. With his adaptable roles as twin brothers, Dhanush further demonstrates his talent. Fans have appreciated seeing Dhanush and Selvaraghavan again. The movie is brilliantly packed with surprises.
