Dhanush's Naane Varuven Mints 8 Crores From The First Day

Naane Varuvean, starring Dhanush, had its theatrical debut yesterday . It is presently screening in theatres all over the world. The movie received favourable reviews upon release. But it didn't have any exclusive morning shows. In his reunion with his brother and director Selvaraghavan, Dhanush performed two roles. It appears the two get along well together because the movie is receiving positive reviews everywhere. On its opening day, a working Thursday, the movie had a respectable occupancy. It made over Rs 8 crore in worldwide box office revenue; in Tamil Nadu, it did about Rs 6 crore.

There has been no improvement for Dhanush at the box office from his prior theatrical movie, "Thiruchitrambalam". It was released in August and made roughly Rs 10 crores on its opening day.
