Dhanush's Prospects Looking Good In Telugu

Tamil actor Dhanush is all set to make his Telugu debut with his upcoming film Sir, directed by Venky Atluri of Tholi Prema and Rang De fame. The movie is being produced under the Sithara Entertainments banner and features Samyuktha Menon as the leading lady. GV Prakash is the music director of this bilingual film, the trailer of which was released just yesterday. There are decent expectations for Sir, which is set to be released on February 17th. Insiders are of the opinion that Dhanush has a very good chance of scoring a success with Sir, as he has very little competition on the 17th. With the exception of Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha, there is no other film releasing on the day.

Dhanush is a proven actor, who has won two national awards for his stellar performances in movies like Asuran and Aadukalan. Dhanush also has a good track record in Bollywood, with the actor appearing in more than three Bollywood films. He even recently made his Hollywood debut with The Gray Man, which was also received well. Dhanush has a good following in Tamil Nadu, and he made quite an impact in Telugu with his film Raguvaran BTech. With Sir, Dhanush might be able to increase his market in the Telugu states, as it is his first Telugu movie. Moreover, with Dhanush promoting Sir in Telugu, it is expected that audiences will show good interest in watching the film. Dhanush will soon team up with director Sekhar Kammula. This will be a pan-Indian film.
