Vijay Deverakonda was seen as a mixed martial artist in the film with stammering issues. Vijay Deverakonda recently won an award at a popular award ceremony. Post the failure of Liger, Vijay Deverakonda and the entire team of Liger haven't really opened up about the film's performance. In fact, Charmme Kaur, one of the producers of Liger, had taken a break from social media due to relentless trolling

After accepting the award, Vijay Deverakonda stated, "We all have good days. We all have not-so-good days. We all have sh**ty days. But irrespective of how we feel, we get up… And today I actually maybe didn’t want to be here taking this award, but I came here and as I speak to you, I promise to you that I will get the job done for all of you and you will be entertained. And great cinema will be made."

Vijay Deverakonda and Puri Jagannadh joined hands for another film titled JGM. The film has now been put on hold due to the failure of Liger.
