Under the guidance of Megastar Chiranjeevi, a few bigwigs of the Telugu film industry have started Corona Crisis Charity a few days back. This initiative is to collect funds and help the daily wage workers of the film industry. We all know that most of the people working in the film industry depend on their daily wages. They have no income source during these tough times. To help them, Tollywood bigwigs have started this fundraiser. One of CCC's representative, director N. Shankar stated that Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan and Upasana are helping a lot to help the cine workers.
Speaking in a recent press meet, Shankar thanked Chiranjeevi for being supportive all the time. He also thanked Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela for standing up and donating free medicines to the cine workers. He further said, "Everyone is staying home to avoid the spread of the coronavirus. Thus, we are delivering groceries and other essential items that are sufficient for a month usage, directly to the houses of cine-workers. Chiranjeevi Garu is making sure to deliver medicines worth Rs. 25 lakhs from Upasana Garu's Apollo Hospitals. People can give their prescriptions and get the medicines delivered at their doorstep. Chiranjeevi Garu, along with his son Ram Charan Garu and daughter-in-law Upasana Garu, is making sure to provide all the necessary items to the film workers."
CCC is working hard on making the lives of cine workers better during these tough times. Meanwhile, all the film shoots and releases got stalled until the 14th of this month. We are not sure whether they will get resumed after the lockdown. We will get clarity only after a few days.
