Director Nag Ashwin celebrates his birthday - A Journey of an Assistant director to Star Filmmaker

'Mahanati', a biographical feature of actress Savitri, who has enjoyed huge stardom in the male-dominated industry, has garnered huge success. The movie was declared a box-office hit. The film also attained national-level attention when it gained the national award. All this is because of the man behind the film Nag Ashwin. Nag Ashwin has begun his career as an assistant to sensible filmmaker Sekhar Kammula, went on to work with him from 'Leader' to 'Life is Beautiful'.

 

And, then he debuted with 'Evade Subramanyam', starring Nani & Vijay Deverakonda. The film received a good reception along with appreciation from the industry personalities. Then he took his time and made 'Mahanati.' Mahanati went on to become one of the finest films of the decade in Telugu Cinema. Along with technical brilliance of cinematography, set designs, and color grading, the film received praise for direction. The film released in Tamil & Telugu and was a blockbuster in both languages. The whole team was appreciated nation-wide for their work. Now, his next will be with Prabhas, produced by Vyajayanthi Films.

 

Although his image and name grew with his work, like his master Sekhar Kammula, Nag Ashwin too held a very low social grandeur.
