We are still fresh of the tragic incident happened on the sets of Indian 2 a few days back, where three crew members have lost their lives due to an accident. Director Shankar came out safe from the accident by a whisker. He took on social media to express his condolences and prayers to the grieved families.
"It is with utmost grief, I’m tweeting. Since the tragic incident, I’ve been in a state of shock & having sleepless nights on the loss of my AD & crew. Having missed the crane by a whisker, I feel it would’ve been better if it was on me. Heartfelt condolences & prayers to the families" tweeted Shankar.
The incident happened when a crane fell off due to a mishap on the sets. Shankar escaped from it by a whisker. He sustained minor injuries. Film's Assistant director Krishna, Art Assistant Chandran and Production Assistant Madhu have lost their lives in this tragic accident. Film's lead actors Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal were also present when this incident got happened.
Kamal donated Rs. one crore and producer of the film, Subaskaran of Lyca Productions, has donated Rs. 2 crores each to all the grieved families.
