The second wave of Covid-19 is posing a huge threat to the people in India with more than 1 lakh people getting affected on an everyday basis. Nearly eight states in the country are seeing a sharp rise in Covid-19 cases and in the recent past, several celebrities have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. From Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar to Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar, several Bollywood stars have tested positive for Covid-19. Down south, Nivetha Thomas contracted the virus and is currently under home quarantine. The latest update is that director SP Muthuraman has also tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

SP Muthuraman has been admitted to a private hospital for treatment. Due to the novel coronavirus, he developed pneumonia because of which he had to be admitted and the doctors are now monitoring him. According to multiple reports, SP Muthuraman is stable and is on a path to recovery. SP Muthuraman is an iconic director who has worked with stalwarts like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. Dharmathin Thalaivan, Netrikann, Sakalakala Vallavan and Thoongathe Thambi Thoongathe are some of his best works.
