Election Commission reacts on Lakshmi’s NTR for the first time
Election Commission has finally broken the ice regarding Ram Gopal Varma’s next flick ‘Lakshmi's NTR’. The much-awaited movie has set ripples in both film and political fraternities. While TDP Activist Devi Babu Chowdary complained to Election Commission against this movie, the EC assured that necessary actions will be taken after proper scrutiny.
Devi Babu has appealed to the EC to hold the release of the film until the completion of Elections as it portrayed AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in the bad light. The movie is scheduled to be released on March 22.
When asked about the issue, Rajath Kumar, the Chief Electoral Officer responded on the complaint against Lakshmi's NTR for the first time ever. “The decision of the Election Commission would be final. We will look over if the movie has any violation of the election code of conduct. The election authorities would look for specific violations before taking the final decision on the plea,” he stated.
While Ram Gopal Varma claimed that the movie only shows the real facts and nothing is made up, “ We tried to show the facts to the public instead of targeting any individual. We will reach to court if Election Commission stalls the release of Lakshmi's NTR on March 22nd,” he added.
The movie created a sensation with its theoretical trailer which showed Vijay Kumar who essayed the role of NTR in Lakshmi's NTR and Kannada Actress Yagna Shetty played Lakshmi Parvathi's character. Chandrababu’s character which created abuzz was portrayed by Sritej.
