Many celebrities such as Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, and many more have come forward to help out amid the COVID-10 crisis. Farhan Akhtar too has come forward to donate PPE kits to the medical community that is fighting the virus on the front lines.

Farhan took to Twitter to talk about the efforts of the medical community. He posted a video urging people to do whatever they can to help out. He says that while many of us are safe indoors, the medical staff is fighting the coronavirus on the front lines. He spoke of how protection of the medical community against the virus is a crucial issue. He adds that it is high time we help the medical community keep themselves safe. How can we do this? He says he is donating 1000 PPE Kits to government hospitals that are in need of them. He adds that if one wants to help, they can visit the www.tring.co.in to look up details. He says that if help out, he will personally thank you through either a message or a video call. He concludes by inviting everyone to help the medical community.

Farhan has also helped raise funds by taking part in the recreation of the title track of Dil Chahta Hai. The new version features over 112 artists from 21 countries. The funds raised by the song will aid several artists whose livelihood has been affected by the coronavirus.
