Vani Viswanath, the all-time best action heroine of Malayalam cinema, is returning to cinema after a hiatus. After a gap of 7 years, Vani is returning to cinema as the heroine of her husband and actor Baburaj. The title launch of the crime thriller titled 'The Criminal Lawyer' was held in Trivandrum.
Vani Viswanath shares the joy of returning to Malayalam cinema. The actor said that she is happy to see the Malayalam audience again. Vani added that she is more than happy that her return is through a good character.
Vani said that she played some non-realistic characters before the Malayalam audience who only watches realistic movies. Vani asked the fans to support her in her comeback to the silver screen.
The actor said that everyone was asking if she was waiting for such a character. Vani added that it was not the case and that the film was set aside for some of her reasons.“I am a fan of crime-thriller movies. Liked it a lot when I said a thread like this. Like my character, Babuvettan is a good character.
“Like Babuvettan (Baburaj) in Salt and Pepper and Joji, this movie will have a character that you like. After the Mannar Mathai movie, you have given me a lot of encouragement and support. It should always be there;” Vani said.
Umesh S Mohan is scripting the movie which will be directed by newcomer Jitin Jithu. The film is being produced under the banner of Third Eye Media Makers. Vani was last seen in Mannar Mathai 2 which was released in 2014.
