Filmmaker Karan Johar has thanked the Bollywood fraternity and its fans for raising over Rs. 52 crores during the I for India virtual concert

Karan Johar recently hosted the I for India virtual concert alongside another filmmaker, Zoya Akhtar. The concert was aimed at raising awareness about the Coronavirus and encouraging relief work through funds. Just a few hours ago Karan Johar announced that the concert made over Rs. 52 crores. It is now the biggest Indian virtual concert and all the money will go on to help the underprivileged.

Taking to Twitter Karan Johar said, "From our heart to yours. Thank you for watching. Thank you for responding. Thank you for donating. I for India started out as a concert. But it can be a movement. Let's continue to build a safe, healthy and strong India. I for India." "Zoya and I are overwhelmed by all the love and humanity that surrounds us," he added. He also gave a "massive shoutout to Jairam and his team at Fountainhead for being such staunch make solid pillars." Karan Johar thanked two people in particular without mentioning any names. He said, "You both have been the wind beneath our wings and the soul and spine of this concert." He concluded writing, "We can, we will, we must express our gratitude to the world for their generosity. Keep the river of goodness flowing." Stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, AR Rahman, Arijit Singh, Anushka Sharma, Jonas brothers, Bryan Adams, and many others joined the concert for the noble cause. Actor Ayushmann Khurrana also tweeted out a similar thank you message for people who tuned in and donated during the concert. He thanked everyone for their support during such difficult times.
