We Indians fondly call Cricket and Cinema as our two major religions. We love both fields immensely. In fact, most of the popular celebrities in the country are either film stars or cricketers. Now, these two have associated for the project called '83. It is a film directed by Kabir Khan, which talks about the famous 1983 World Cup victory of Indian Cricket Team.
The '83 win considered as the first major landmark in the cricketing era of India and Kabir Khan decided to relive those moments once more and wants the audience to cherish those landmark memories yet again. The film stars Ranveer Singh as the lead. Ranveer played the role of Kapil Dev in this film. Till now, the makers have revealed the first looks of all the actors who played the roles of erstwhile cricketers. The looks of Jiiva as Krishnamachari Srikanth, Harrdy Sandhu as Madan Lal, Ammi Virk as Balwinder Sandhu, Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar, Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath and many others.
The first look of the film will get unveiled today at the iconic Satyam Cinemas in Chennai. The film's entire cast and crew will be there at the event. '83 will have its worldwide release on April 10.
