Gopichand-Puri Jagannadh's Golimaar celebrates 10 years

As the Puri Jagannadh directorial 2010 hit film Golimaar starring Gopichand celebrates 10 years today, fans have taken to social media to celebrate the milestone anniversary.

Gopichand-Puri Jagannadh's Golimaar celebrates 10 years

The Gopichand and Priyamani starrer Golimaar was one of 2010's most popular and hit films. The fans of the film have taken to social media to celebrate 10 years of Golimaar. #10yearsofgolimaar is currently trending on Twitter! Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the film was a landmark film for him. Puri Jagannadh had given Telugu Cinema back to back hits with the films Pokiri, Desamuduru and Chiruta. However his subsequent films were either flops or average hits. After a break, Puri Jagannadh returned with a box office success Golimaar. Bellamkonda Suresh produced the film under the Sri Sai Ganesh Productions banner. Golimaar is widely known for its action scenes.

 
The fans of the film have been sharing action scenes, popular dialogues and stills from the hit cop thriller. They're also sharing the film's poster to celebrate!
 
Golimaar followed the tale of an encounter specialist, based on Inspector Daya Nayak. Daya Nayak is a police officer who was known for his record number of encounter killings. Golimaar followed the take of Gangaram, an orphan who grows up to become a skiller encounter specialist.
 
On the work front, Gopichand was last seen in the 2019 film Chanakya. He is gearing up to appear in the sports flick Seetimaar. The film also features Digangana Suryavanshi, Tamannaah, and Bhumika Chawla. The sports action film is Gopichand's second collaboration with director Sampath Nani. They had previously worked on the film Goutham Nanda. Puri Jagannadh is looking forward to direct Fighter. Fighter is a romance action film starring Vijay Deverakonda. Priyamani on the other hand is looking forward to several films like Narappa, Maidaan, Virata Parvam 1992, and many more.
